Jason's big Test English creative writing short story One
Monday after school Jason Zyman, age 12, was walking around the house wondering
what to do. Finally he decided to ask his sister to play a game of chess with
him. "Joanne,
will you play chess with me? I'm very bored and I've got nothing to do!"
Jason told his sister. "I
can't," replied Joanne, "I have to study for my math test on Friday.
You should study for your history test this Friday" "Oh
come on!" said Jason, "Friday is
four days away and I don't feel like studying. Come play with me. "No,
I will not!," said Joanne and she closed the door in her brothers face. Jason,
not knowing what to do, went into
his big bedroom at the end of the upstairs hallway, lay down on the bed and
started flipping through channels on the TV The
next day after school Jason told his parents he had no homework and no studying
to do. Jason's parents couldn't figure out why he was so irritable and had such
a bad attitude. By the time Thursday morning came it was even worse. Later,
Thursday afternoon, Jason and his sister Joanne started walking home from
school. On their way they saw a stage in the town park. Their was a whole bunch
of people standing around it. Then
person on the stage yelled out excitedly, "We'll give out one hundred bucks
to anyone here who can answer these three fun trivia questions! How about that
guy in the blue shirt!" "Jason,
that's you?!" Joanne said excitedly. Jason
pushed through the crowd up to the stage. "So
what's your name cool guy?" said the person on the stage. "Jason
Zyman," replied Jason excitedly. The
first two questions Jason knew the answer but on the third question he stopped.
The very same question was going to be in his history class the next day!
Because he hadn't studied in advance he said the wrong answer and was
embarrassed in front of many people. Jason felt like crying. |
